I stumbled across the concept of constructing homes out of bales of hay and straw last year. It may sound bizarre, but there are advantages to building your home out of straw. And no need to worry about the Big Bad Wolf! ;-)

The McKinley family have a page with photographs showing the step-by-step procedures for building a small straw bale house, at members.xoom.com/rmckinle/basepage.htm
